no game
I probably could have slept less and focused on coding more instead of the graphics. I'm not too bummed out about it, tho cuz I got cookies after the deadline.
If you were rooting for a game being made, I have nothing to offer you but a piece of my miso-ramen-flavored cookie (digitally).
I wouldn't say I failed because I wanted to join a jam to force myself to work on a game and I feel that I did that. Although I wanted something that worked I got valuable information on how to structure a game and how long it would take me to make one.
Oh and my idea was working at a soda bar that specializes in... floats! My inspiration for gameplay was the Burger Shop games. For the story of it is in the main project page (i think that's what its called). Then I was thinking that maybe you'd be able to make the ice cream yourself and would need to prep and manage materials but realized that I wouldn't be able to make that in time. And then I got to thinking that after this game (the one I didn't make) there's a second one that starts after the marathon where it basically starts over in difficulty and introduces the material management game mechanics. Where the explanation in the universe is that the marathon used all the supplies and few customers come in after tiring themselves out from sweets.
Once again game development is really difficult and I admire those who do. (only having 3 days is nuts)
But I guess that's an idea for next time. Also since I don't have a game am I disqualified?
